To add a food item -

From the Main Menu - 

Select Food, Add food item. The existing food types will be shown. Scroll and highlight the food type to add the new item to, select Continue,  the current food items for the selected food type are shown. Select Add food item, a screen is shown to allow the entry of the new item description and carbs for this new item. When finished select Add item. The current food items for the selected food type are again shown, this time the new item is also included. If you want to add another food item, select Add food item. To add a new food type, select Add food type. To return to the main menu, select Cancel.
